Hermann Spielwaren Franz Schubert Musical Mohair Limited Edition Bear

Our Price: *180.00

From 2002 we welcome the composer of the well-known 'Ave Maria' as a teddy bear maestro, Franz Schubert, from the popular German maker - Hermann Spielwaren.

Franz Schubert is a 36 cm / 14", fully jointed, musical bear. His turn-key movement plays Heiden roslein (Rose Among the Heather), with the first few notes of the musical score being embroidered onto his left paw. He has been sewn from a luxurious and decadently wavy, golden blonde mohair, with embroidery decorated paws. His left features a beautifully detailed rose, the song he plays and the prementioned musical score, whilst his right features his date of birth 1797 - 1828, the signature of Martin Hermann and his edition number. All this and he is lovingly stuffed with excelsior too. His delightful facial features include, two-tone glass, brown eyes, highlighted by his silver rimmed glasses, with an embroidered cocoa nose and mouth upon his trimmed muzzle. To finish, an elegantly tailored, velvet coat with white collar and a shot-silk bow, complete with a velvet covered, gold brocade trimmed song book, featuring the same embroidered rose upon his paw and which contains musical score.

This captivating fellow, is one of an edition of just 500 pieces and comes with his numbered certificate of authenticity.
