In recent times wool felting and wool felt sculpture have come to the fore, highlighting the artistry behind it. With the use of a wire frame, unspun wool fibres, can be sculpted into shapes, figures and any 3D object using specialist barbed felting needles, time and of course patience. Some pieces are exceptionally realistic whilst others are full of contemporary whimsy.
Spotted Micro Pig is a felt sculpture, by the incredibly talented, Devon based artist, Karen Arthurs for Moonpipit. Many, many hours have been spent forming Micro Pig’s shape, blending fibres and bringing detail. He is a typical pig, with a light, tonal pink coat, that features black splodges throughout, detailed trotters and his must-have, shaped curled tail. His characterful ears and face feature a pebble-beige blend, highlighting and shaping his glossy dark eyes, whilst forming his protruding snout (with nostrils) and open mouthed expression bring forward his personality. What must he be thinking of us?

Don’t be surprised if your breath is taken away as you enter either of these shops. There is something suitable for everyone, from young to old, collectible to cuddly soft toys and something for everyone’s budget.
Contact with World of Bears is very friendly, and they obviously love teddies! They let me know when my order was received and when it was on its way. Steiff items came with a free Steiff box, which was great as other companies charge extra. Would definitely recommend buying bears etc. here and I certainly will
A smaller version than his dad, this little guy is just as sweet and lovely.
Packaged well but had world of bears and pic on the side of the box so had to hide it very quickly!
