First recorded in 1951 by the Austrian Trapp Family, the song was further popularized by so many wonderful renditions including Frank Sinatra, Ringo Starr, Boney M and even a duet by the unusual pairing of Bing Crosby and David Bowie.
Steiff’s handsome Drummer boy, is a 28cm, 5 way jointed teddy bear made using the finest cinnamon coloured and cream mohair with cream wool felt paw pads, on the left foot pad the musical notes of the song have been embroidered with silver coloured thread. He is dressed in a smart double-breasted, dark green, buttoned jacket and a brown felt hat, hanging around his neck with a red ribbon, is his drum, made from white felt with a red edging and enhanced with silver embroidery, without doubt you will smile too when your Little Drummer boy plays to you.
