Originally released in 2013, is the glorious 1928 Replica of Tref the Dog and this one makes it hard to tell the original and the replica apart, courtesy of the German, master teddy bear makers, Steiff
Tref is a 14 cm / 5.5″ replica dog with a turn able head. Like his predecessor he has been sewn from the finest, light brown velvet and lovingly stuffed with excelsior, whilst featuring wire in all four legs, to ensure he sits perfectly every-time. His glimmering, two-tone brown glass eyes even bear his patented, half-covered eye lids, whilst his smart hand stitched nose, lets us know his importance. A great deal of intricate hand applied shading and painting, used to define his shape and highlighting his facial features, mirrors that of the original, making him as accurate as possible to the original Tref from 1928. To finish he wears an apple green, ribbon bow.
This Worldwide Limited Edition of just 1,000 pieces, also bears a replica of the original 1928, patinated stainless steel ‘button in the ear’, with a long tail on the second ‘F’. He will come to you boxed, with his numbered certificate of authenticity.
