Highly praised for his impressionist pastel drawings and oil painting, he is known for his dance subjects, particularly ballet dancers, invoking a sense of movement and grace in his work. It’s the French Artist (Edgar) Degas 1834-1917, that this gorgeous bear represents. He has been lovingly designed by Isabelle Lee with Charlotte Morris for Charlie Bears.
Degas is a 33 cm / 13″, fully jointed, character bear. He has been sewn from a mix of luxurious mohair and sumptuous alpaca in rich chestnut with crisp white accents and tactile, reverse mohair paws and inner ears. Endearing white enhanced, glossy black eyes and a cute, hand stitched cocoa nose, gently shape his face, with delicately applied colour shading bringing definition and charm, whilst being part-bean filled, results in a good weight and that must-have, snugly, cuddly feel. To finish, a large sheer white organza bow, with a bejewelled key pendant.
