In 2003, Deans celebrated their 100th Anniversary as a producer of bears (200 years prior, they had been responsible for book printing and publication). To commemorate this achievement, bears from 2003 wear a Centenary pendant, including Orville, a gloriously contemporary bear design by Bear Artist, Jill Baxter and created by Dean’s Rag Book Co.
Orville is a 36 cm / 14 fully jointed teddy bear, with a disproportionately smaller sized head to his body. He has been sewn from two luxuriously dense mid-pile mohair in black and dark cream, with smooth faux suede paws, (black for his soles and beige for his palms) with his right sole featuring the iconic logo badge. His engaging black eyes, twee ears and characterfully large, hand stitched apricot nose, with black thread highlights, upon his trimmed visage brings great appeal and charm, with the purple and gold Dean’s Centenary pendant worn around his neck, confirming his identity and status.
He is a Limited Edition of only 100 pieces and comes with his numbered, certificate of authenticity.

Everything is perfect!
Quick delivery and good packaging. I needed to contact World of Bears and received a very swift and friendly reply which dealt with my enquiry satisfactorily. Nice company to do business with.

Everything was very straightforward. Easy to order the bear which arrived very quickly.Nicely packaged as itbis a gift. It is perfect for my friends 1 year old.
We ordered the bear for our granddaughter now aged nineteen weeks called Ellie who was born 4th October 2018 arriving seven weeks premature. The gift is an investment for her bought in her birth year and arrived on time and in perfect condition. He/she now needs a name! and hopefully will give our little Ellie much pleasure for years to come. Thank you World of Bears for a truly delightful bear.
Orville wasn't exactly as expected, far more "quirky" looking than pictures showed but I think he is great. He completely fits in with my other bear friends! :-)
