In 2003, Deans celebrated their 100th Anniversary as a producer of bears (200 years prior, they had been responsible for book printing and publication). To commemorate this achievement, bears from 2003 wear a Centenary pendant, including Orville, a gloriously contemporary bear design by Bear Artist, Jill Baxter and created by Dean’s Rag Book Co.
Orville is a 36 cm / 14 fully jointed teddy bear, with a disproportionately smaller sized head to his body. He has been sewn from two luxuriously dense mid-pile mohair in black and dark cream, with smooth faux suede paws, (black for his soles and beige for his palms) with his right sole featuring the iconic logo badge. His engaging black eyes, twee ears and characterfully large, hand stitched apricot nose, with black thread highlights, upon his trimmed visage brings great appeal and charm, with the purple and gold Dean’s Centenary pendant worn around his neck, confirming his identity and status.
He is a Limited Edition of only 100 pieces and comes with his numbered, certificate of authenticity.

Orville wasn't exactly as expected, far more "quirky" looking than pictures showed but I think he is great. He completely fits in with my other bear friends! :-)

As all Steiffs this was a wonderful purchase. Colour was exactly as stated on the web site as was the size. Really pleased with the purchase.
Just as they described mine fast Service came well packed I'm very happy with this steif squirrel beautiful colour well made I'm sure my great Granddaughter will be delighted as I was thanks DAVE
I couldn't find the particular Jellycat bunny I needed (replacement for the one my son gave his baby sister the day she was born) anywhere else, so I was thrilled that World of Bears had it. Fast shipping too!
Loved them - as a gift for a new born it was well received.
They loved the little toy husky it was a gift as our family dog recently passed away so I got then to remember her by 😁
