This endearing Walt Disney Piglet with Violets, was made as a companion piece to the much sought after ‘Hunny Pot Pooh’ and was released over 2 years in 1988-89. Pooh’s best friend is a Worldwide Limited Edition of only 2,500 pieces.
Piglet is a diminutive 7″ / 17.8cm in size and is fully jointed. His classic rendition has been inspired by the drawings of E. H. Shepherd, giving him more of a slight frame, with distinctive ears and snout, matching that of his timid nature and small stature. He has been sewn from the finest, custom-dyed wool felt with glossy, black glass eyes and delicate hand shading to define and shape his features, ears and ‘trotters’. He has been cleverly designed, due to hours of research, resulting in shaped and bent limbs, with stuffing of soft cotton and pellets for that genuine, cuddly feel and weight. Now for his accessories, a cosy and soft, cotton-knit, sleeveless onesie in a woodland, spruce green (custom-dyed too), whilst holding a trio of detailed, delicate wool felt violets, which just so happens to be his favourite. Point to note – Piglet is also one of the first to ‘bear’, the newly introduced RJW brass button.

Piglet with Violets will come to you in a bespoke R John Wright box. His numbered certificate is enclosed, along with the same corresponding number upon the box and upon his makers label.

Slightly smaller than expected, not sure if image is truly representative, but that’s the only issue.
I bought 2 Bartholomew bears as gifts, and was very pleased with them. One was for a newborn, so I hope it gives him much pleasure in years to come. The other was for my daughter who collects bears, and she was delighted with it. Brilliant service as well, as they arrived within a few days.
I received the teddy bear a few days after I had placed the order. Very good! I didn't like that the box had a picture of the bear outside the box. It was a gift.
So pleased with my mini bear.
