Steiff Rocks Rolling Stones is the third release in Steiff’s tribute series. It celebrates their iconic 1996 release, Paint It Black. It was so influential and ahead of its time, with its sitar and castanets, that it was at the top of the charts (UK and US) for 11 and 10 weeks respectively. It has been covered by other artists, re-released in 2007 and in 2018, it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Prior to that in 2011, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, added the track to their list of ‘Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll’, whilst reminding us of the outstanding and award winning talent of the legendary, British performers, composers and magicians themselves, that are the Rolling Stones. Rolling Stones is a fully jointed character teddy bear. He has been inspired by the rebellious and loud under tones that are rock and roll. He has been sewn from a glorious, black-tipped, curly red mohair, with an incorporated, glossy black, short-pile mohair jacket, that has been unzipped to reveal the extraordinary Rolling Stones logo of red lips and red tongue, that has uniquely become the go to logo for rock and roll worldwide. He has warm wool felt paws, with his left sole featuring The Rolling Stones embroidered in contrasting white thread, whilst glossy black safety eyes shine out above his hand stitched black thread nose and mouth, upon his expertly shaved muzzle, with carefully applied colour shading, bringing character and personality to this groups legend.
