In celebrating the Royal Wedding of HRH Prince William and Catherine Middleton, Danbury Mint worked in collaboration with Steiff, to create this enchanting commemorative Masterpiece before you.
Royal is a 25 cm / 9.8″ fully jointed, teddy bear. He has been sewn from the finest, luxury wavy blonde mohair, with warm wool felt paws, endearing glossy two-tone brown safety eyes and the smartest of hand stitched noses. Around his neck is tied a sumptuous, peach satin ribbon, which matches the colour of the thread used for the embroidery detail upon the soles of his paws. The left paw features William and the right Catherine. To finish, a 22 carat gold plated medallion hangs from the knot of his bow. One side features an engraving of Westminster Abbey, with the words ‘Royal Wedding’ and ‘2011’ ‘Westminster Abbey’, the reverse reads ‘A Steiff Limited Edition’ ‘For Danbury Mint’, with the DM logo and ‘Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton 29th April 2011’ in the centre. A wonderful way to remember such a glorious day.
Produced only in the year 2011, he is Limited in Production specifically to that year.
