Her Majesty is rather smaller in stature than I imagined (and that was certainly the case the one and only time I was fortunate enough to actually meet Queen Elisabeth in person for a brief moment), and a little less "soft" perhaps, comfort-wise, for a small child, but she nevertheless has that regal gaze with just a hint of a smile that we all knew and loved. I wish she could stay with me forever, and I'm going to find it difficult to hand Her Majesty over to young Louise on the occasion of her christening in October. But I will have such fun, when Louise is old enough to understand, telling her all about the British Queen, her life and family, and her devotion to her people (something the French don't really understand, having done away with their royal family a few hundred years ago!). I was also delighted to discover on the World of Bears website that there are other Queen bears available who, I'm sure, would love to one day take a one-way trip to France ...
