Hermann Spielwaren Hope and Glory Musical Bear - Pomp and Circumstance Limited Edition

Our Price: 150.00

The wonderful Hope and Glory was created for the 150th Anniversary of the English composer, Sir Edward William Elgar, who wrote an arrangement of 'Land of Hope and Glory' for the coronation of King Edward VII, (the first of the five Pomp and Circumstance Marches). The German maker, Hermann Spielwarren, chose a classically designed bear, to go with his classical music playing box.

Hope and Glory is a 36 cm / 14", fully jointed teddy bear, with a concealed, turn-key music box. He has been sewn from a luxuriously dense and wavy vanilla mohair, with decadent olive-green paws, with his left embroidered with the first few notes of the musical score he plays, plus Hermann, Classic Music Bear, with his right paw reading, Hope and Glory and his Limited Edition number. He has large cupped ears and friendly appeal, with glossy, two-tone brown safety eyes and a smart, hand stitched black nose and mouth upon his carefully trimmed muzzle. Around his neck, in the same rich fabric as his paws, is a flamboyant bow edged with decorative gold cord adding to the occasion.

He is a Limited Edition of only 500 pieces and comes his numbered certificate of authenticity swing tag.
